Just Missed You

I move silently
Through the spaces you left
And all I have to hold
is a deep breath

The air sneaks through
Then pauses to ask
If I've seen you

I guess we both
Must have
just missed you...

  1. If you're grieving a loss, I'm sorry. Your latest poems seem melancholic. Beautifully expressed. I hope writing brings you healing ...

    1. Thank you, Loredana! Not a recent loss. My sister passed August 17, 2012. I'm okay, but sometimes my mind goes to her when it's wandering through the quiet times, and the quiet times are when I write.

  2. I really like this. It stands out because it says so much with an economy of verbiage.

  5. I am sure every single person who has lost a love knows exactly what these words feel like. I do. I know. I love how simply and perfectly you penned these feelings. ❤️

  6. This is overwhelming, to the point, it leaves everyone in the room breathless.
